Noise Pollution

Noise pollution becomes one of the problem for the urban area. Traffics, machines, even people, they all make noise, and we cannot filter it. I wish I could increase people's awareness of the noise by using an art installation.

Live feed sound from viewers or prerecorded sound will be used to affect the live image of the viewers. Through this way, viewers will be able to visually see how the noise affect the image of them, thus, how the noise could affect themselves. Prerecorded sound was recorded from several places in the city area, which represent our daily lives. According to the sound level, the visual effect changes. The higher the sound level, the more destroyed the picture is. The viewers' experience will be both from the sound and the image.
