Artwork and Art Gallery
Except those public artworks on the streets, most of the artworks are kept in the nice white buildings only for who willing to go into the art gallery to see them. But could we break the traditional form of the connection between artwork and art gallery? I guess the Relational Art will be a good way to take artworks outside of the art gallery. Nicolas Bourriaud defined Relational Art as "a set of artistic practices which take as their theoretical and practical point of departure the whole of human relations and their social context, rather than an independent and private space." Through this way, art no long means a dim room with a viewer and a object, it becomes a social practice with viewers' participation and contribution.
