Art and Public

After investigated into the relationship between artwork and viewers last year, I had an idea to zoom out my point of view, to explore the relationship between artwork and public. Here, the public is not only limited to the viewers, but also the society and it could even be the all world. I have some topics to start with, art forms, participation, social engagement, etc. I will more focused on the contemporary art, as it is a art form was born as a combination of the development of both art and society(culture). From 1960s, artists started to make artworks which allow viewers to create the contents. Viewers are not only appreciators any more, they also become co-authors. By letting viewers to become a part of the artwork, it could be more easily to engage viewers. Through all the explorations, I am expecting to have a better understanding of the relationship between art and public.
