Device

The device is going to be placed on the dog's back, and the dog is quite small, so in order the dog can carry the device easily, we need to minimize both the weight and the size of the device. Our device is about just fit for 2 cameras, doesn't waste any space, I think it's maybe the smallest device in all groups. In order to use as less steal as possible, we cut the 10x3mm flat steal into 5x3mm, and used the simplest construction for our device.

During the fabricating, the most difficult part is welding and polishing. As the device is small and all the bars are so tiny, the connection space between bars are so limited, I had to do welding very carefully. I think the welding machine is over powerful for our device, so it's very easy to burn the part. Or if there is not enough welding, the device is very easy to break. Another different thing is polishing, pretty much the same reason as the welding, it's easy to over polishing then break it. But the good thing of a small device is, we only needed a little time to make it, and we finished the device pretty quickly.

We tested the cameras with the device, and they fit perfectly. And we also tested the whole device on the dog. The cameras' potions were as we expected, but there was a major problem, the device was not stable enough, it kept falling. We tried to tight the velcro, and added more velcro at a different position, but there was no improvement. So we thought we should add two support bars to the device.
