Field Sound Recording

It was my first time to use a professional sound recorder to record sound. Through the earphone, the sound was so different from what we normally hear. All sound were so clearly recorded. I found the most interesting sound to me was the fan noise in the under ground car park. we can hear the low frequency fan noise everyday, but as the huge space of the car park increased the echo, so made the fan noise so interesting. We tried to point the recorder directly on the glass, so it could record the sound from the vibration of the glass, which we normally couldn't hear.

After have looked at some art works of the sound artists, I was surprised. I never thought about, noise can be made into some interesting art works. And different to the normal sound we can hear, some minimalist music don't have sound we could hear, like the John Cage's 4'33.
